Weekend in Echuca (Garden of Eden)

Beau and Jessie are getting married near to our 25th anniversary, so Jan and I celebrated our anniversary earlier.
We spent a lovely weekend at Echuca in Victoria, along the Murray River.
I think the highlight, apart from the re-assurance of the "Love Bond" between us was the trip up the Murray aboard the Paddle Steamer Pevensey.
We alighted at a private jetty at Morrisons Restaurant and Winery, if you cannot get there, then you must visit their website.

The surrounds of the restaurant was absolutely beautiful.
The food was incredible, and the staff were marvelous.
I cannot rave enough about it... which reminds me, a good book to read "Raving Fans: A Revolutionary Approach To Customer Service"
Over the weekend we did a lot of walking, talking and of course, eating...

Echuca is certainly a well deserved place to spend a holiday, or a long weekend and we are looking forward to going back there, perhaps next time we will hire a houseboat.

Our hosts,Peter and Judy who are new to the Motel, were absolutely fantastic. They would stop at any time of the day, just to have a chat with you. Nothing was to much trouble for them.

The Birth of Ethan

Early January, our lovely daughter gave birth to our first grand child.
His name is Ethan and he weighed in @ 8lbs 2oz so whatever that is in metric, I don't know.

Ethan came into the world with a bit of a struggle, the cord was wrapped around him, but he is a strong young fella and he conquered the difficulties he faced with big bravado.
He spent the next day and half in the humicrib, which was a bit sad for Bianca and Al.
Bianca had to wait a couple of days before she could hold him and cuddle him, but all is O.K. now.

Congratulations to Bianca and Al, the proud parents of Ethan.
We love them all so dearly, including Leopold their burmese cat.
